Mermaid for Halloween

I will be a mermaid for this Halloween. I actually made my costume from a mermaid tail I created this summer, but instead of putting the mono-fin inside, I took some of my bath sponges and dried them out, then sewed them to the bottom of my tail cover to make a flaring tail look as I walk. I then took a bra and a slimming nude colored under-top to attached the bra to. And of course the bra is totally blinging with pearls, and sparkles and glitter and shells.

On the night of my dressing up, I will try all of the mermaid tutorials for make-up and fingernail polishiing tips I can find.

I have 2 days to pull my look together and begin this Bermuda Mermaid journey and Halloween is the coming out of a BERMUDA MERMAID.

Bermuda Mermaid Haunted History

The tales, myths and stories begin long, long ago. There are so many shipwrecks around Bermuda's islands, that sailors told tales of Mermaids bringing their ships down in and around Bermuda. Even a well know American wrote of such beings as a youngster. The young Benjamin Franklin wrote in the Pennsylvania Gazette on April 29th, 1739:

“From Bermuda, they write, that a Sea Monster has been lately seen there, the upper part of whose Body was in the Shape and about the Bigness of a Boy of 12 Years old, with long black Hair; the lower Part resembled a Fish.”“He was first seen on shore, and taking to the Water, was pursu’d by People in a Boat, who intended to strike him with a Fishgig; but approaching him, the human Likeness surpris’d them into Compassion, and they had not the Power to do it.”

The Bermuda Mermaid has been blamed of horrifying disappearances, wrecks, crashes and sinking of vessels that dared to comb Bermuda waters. The Mermaid has been scorned for causing monumental waves and un-settled waters.

Where do the scary mermaids take all that hey have captured, one asks?

They say the mermaid is privy to far away creases and creavises below the ocean floor, where no human can survive the untollorible cold and the creatures that frequent the oceans floor are implorible, horrible and very scary.

Once a vessel and its inhabitants are captured and vessel torn to pieces by the stormy, vicious seas that were angrily amped by the mermaid, she then pours out the people and hide them in the depths of the ocean, never to be seen or heard from again. She then sings a whaling. loud, melodic tune with high pitched tones and beautiful lyrics.

Her voice can be heard 600 miles through the water onto land as a whisper calling from the sea.

The scary mermaid was defeated by the Society for the Protection of Mermaids, whom were needing to conserve the ocean and rid Mermaids in Bermuda of their bad reputations of taking people and damaging vessels.
